Active Membership
In order to be an active member of Gamma Sig, sisters must
- maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better
- complete 30 hours of service per semester
- attend all meetings, service projects, and mandatory events without more than one (1) unexcused absence
- pay all chapter and National dues
Inactive Membership
Inactive membership should only be granted in the case of full-time internships, student teaching, study abroad, or other extreme situations, which will be approved on a case-by-case basis by the Executive Board.
To become inactive, notify the Corresponding Secretary by the third meeting of the semester. The Executive Board will notify the member within two (2) weeks after the request has been received.

Rules for inactive members:
- no member may go inactive for two (2) consecutive semesters or for more than two (2) semesters during his/her membership
- inactive members are required to pay National dues but not the semester's chapter dues
- an inactive member must have paid all dues and completed all service requirements from the previous semester
- an inactive member must return to active status for one semester before running for office
